Backyard Beauty thoughts about fire

The human brain is such an interesting organ. It lacks the sensory ability to detect pain but it tells the rest of the body to feel it.

The grey thinky-meat also offers us correlations based on previous experiences to prevent us from losing our collective mind over amazing phenomena that happen regularly.

If we took moments out of our day to comprehend the magic of the world, we would detach from society. People would probably disband, move into a cave and stare at the stars until we all die.

Our brain functions with herd mentality because it is genuinely the reason we’ve continued to exist for so long. A singular naked human is not a threat at all. We’re not equipped to survive in the wild alone, but we don’t live on the dangerous earth that shaped our herd mentality.

So, now is the time to expand our minds.

I started doing this by taking pictures of the regular everyday stuff.

I have been pleasantly surprised at how beautiful a backyard can be

Gratitude has been proven to increase happiness and what better way than finding beauty in our back yards.

Even better – we have the ability to change our environment – we’re not a tree. We all change, grow and react, but what if we create the changes. What if we ignite something that has the power to make a great change?

Fire is both destructive and beautiful, but the changes left in its wake are inspiring

I could be simply making correlations to correct a distracted mind but what if we are more powerful than we know?

The Phoenix is a great parallel to this. A beautiful, powerful force rises from the ashes!

We have all fallen and the lucky few who get back up and try again are stronger (or blind)

The Phoenix was born in fire – we all kind of grow under fire

Then, there are those of us who strive in chaos. People who harness their chaotic comfort and put it to good use are truly living life. It’d be amazing if we could all discover that inner power.

But for now, I’ll just enjoy the fire scene and contemplate life this way.
